Ebonie Flare's Meet & Greet by Alex Ford - Published 3/20/09

The breezy, soulfully intimate atmosphere of Charlotte's Club Allure proved to be a fitting backdrop for the laid back celebration of the expansion of CEO LaKesha Wood's Ebonie Flare Ent. to the Queen City on the evening of March 11, 2009. It was truly a grown & sexy affair that was indulged by gorgeous models, seasoned networkers and highly educated go-getters who had traveled several miles to exchange business cards with CEO Woods - A multi-faceted renaissance woman with nothing less than success on her mind.

Armed with a million dollar smile and an elegantly coy demeanor, the young visionary gracefully mingled with invited guests and carefully reviewed model portfolios while soul piercing soliloquys poured from the vocal cords of uber-talented spoken wordsmiths in the background.

Even though there could've been more support from the surrounding Charlotte community and fewer invited no-shows, the event was definitely a successful first step for Lakesha Woods's newly expanded company Ebonie Flare Ent., which plans on continuing the sponsorship of these sorts of progressive networking functions to bolster its modeling, booking and cosmetic divisions throughout the Carolinas in the coming months.

Club Nikki Beach

Great atmosphere - the ambiance creates the perfect setting for a romantic evening, filled with music, dinning and dancing. I stopped by Club Nikki on a Saturday evening the crowd was mellow and not too full. The DJ's were jamming to a mixture of early 80's, techno and alternative rock (in my opinion).
Every week the club's restaurant Pearl features a fashion show to display the clothing lines of some of the fashion industries hottest designers. The attire is sleek, and the patrons are elite and unrestrained once on the dance floor!
